IARU-R1 27th General Conference, Wien
The 27th IARU Region 1 General Conference has concluded in Vienna. It drew 38 member societies, Administrative Council members including Region 2 and 3 representatives, and more than 120 delegates.

Indonesia emergency networks active until 24th Sept. 2026
ORARI will run emergency communications from 11 to 24 September 2026 in response to volcanic activity in Indonesia, as reported by IARU Region 3 emergency coordinator YB1BTM.

Provisional Results 70 MHz CW/SSB Contest
Provisional results for the IARU Region 1 70 MHz CW/SSB Contest are posted on the VHF+ Contest Robot. Organizers evaluated 48 logs from 14 countries, and HA8MV leads the single-operator category.

Provisional Results 50 MHz CW/SSB Contest
Provisional results for the IARU Region 1 50 MHz CW/SSB Contest are posted on the VHF+ Contest Robot. Organizers evaluated 525 logs from 38 countries, and ED5R leads the single-operator category.

Colombian Amateur Radio League frees up emergency frequencies
After 124 hours of continuous operation by the Colombian league's national emergency network following the earthquake, the emergency frequencies used by Colombian amateurs are being released for general use again.

Members of the Colombian Amateur Radio League are active with the Colombian Red Cross after a 7.4 magnitude earthquake on 10 August 2026, according to the IARU Region 2 Emergency Coordinator, CO2JC.
