USKA holds its EmComm conference in Brütten on Saturday, 10 October 2026, and for the first time also invites authorities and rescue organisations. The programme covers Winlink, AREDN mesh networks, VHF/UHF repeater voice links and equipment displays.

IARU Region 1 General Conference concluded
Delegates from 38 countries met in Vienna from 19 to 23 September for the 27th IARU Region 1 General Conference, discussing frequency allocations and cross-border guidelines. A new executive committee under PB2T was seated, and USKA sent three delegates.

The Swiss society USKA has relaunched its website after six months of work. It is available in four languages, uses callsigns as member logins, and gives each member an @uska.ch forwarding address.

The Funkamateurclub Basel held its first Funkfest on 30 August 2026 at the SSA Sichern site near Liestal. It offered soldering for children, a transmitter hunt, a USKA stand with LoRa devices and a flea market.

Big success for HBBOTA
The first HBBOTA outdoor activity week, 24 July to 2 August, exceeded expectations. The international bunker event saw 86 bunkers activated, and the national week added 261 more, mostly by a few dedicated activators.
